Jæja, þá eru komnar glænýjar myndir af kettlingunum og tvær af Gaiu :) Tvíburarnir eru rosa orkuboltar og mikill leikur í þeim. Þegar þau eru ekki sofandi eru þau hlaupandi, hoppandi og klifrandi á öllu sem þau ná til! Við erum ekki með þyngdina á þeim á hreinu því það er engin leið að fá þau til að vera kyrr á vigtinni. Það er búið að taka bæði Midas og Myrrhu frá og þau munu flytja á framtíðarheimili sín eftir ca. 3 vikur :)

Well, there are new photos of the kittens and two of Gaia :) The twins are very energetic and playful. When they are not sleeping they are running, jumping and klimbing on everything they can get their paws on! We are not sure how much they weigh because it is impossible to get them to stay put on the scales. Both Midas and Myrrha are reserved and will be moving to their future homes in about 3 weeks :)

Komnar nýjar myndir af litlu systkinunum og stóru systrum :) Það gengur annars allt vel og kettlingarnir stækka og þroskast vel. Midas er nú í fyrsta sinn orðinn þyngri en systir sín, hann er um 690 gr en Myrrha um 677 gr við síðustu vigtun. Systkinin eru bæði mjög dugleg að borða og skófla í sig þurrfóðri á milli þess sem þau fá sér sopa hjá mömmu. Suri er önnum kafin við að siða prakkarana til :) En þau eru kelin og yndisleg og elska að fá klapp og klór og láta leika við sig.

Við erum búin að ákveða að sýna stóru systurnar Gaiu og Doris á mars sýningunni. Þar verða þær í fyrsta sinn í fullorðinsflokki og verður spennandi að sjá hvernig þeim gengur :)

New pictures of the little siblings and the big sisters :) Everything is going good and the kittens are growing and developing well. Midas is now for the first time weighing more than his sister, he weighs about 690 gr and Myrrha about 677 gr at the last weigh in. The siblings are both big eaters and showel up the dry food while getting sips from mom in between. Suri is very busy disciplining the little rascals :) But they are cuddly and lovely and love to be petted and played with.

We have decided to show the big sisters Gaia and Doris at the March show. There they will be shown as adults for the first time and it will be exciting to see how they do :)

Bæði farin að borða fast fæði og nota kassann eins og sannir fagmenn. Hendast um allt og leika sér og mala um leið og þau sjá mannfólkið sitt.

Both eating solid food and using the litter box like real pro's. Run around everywhere playing and purr as soon as they see their humans.

Lost of new photos in the album!

Allt gott að frétta héðan. Litlu krílin stækka og fitna vel. Þau eru farin að rölta um herbergið, voða stolt yfir þessum ný uppgötvuðu göngu hæfileikum, með skottið beint upp í loft. Þau eru líka farin að klifra upp í rúmið og nýta það bæði til að leika sér og sofa. Svo er litla daman hún Myrrha farin að nota kassann, voðalega klár stelpa... Midas áttar sig eflaust á þessu fljótlega :) Þau eru bæði yndislega kelin og skapgóð, sækja í að vera nálægt mannfólkinu og mala eins og traktorar þegar þeim er klappað og klórað.

Það koma fljótlega nýjar myndir af systkinunum!

Og takk fyrir öll kvittin í gestabókina! Alltaf svo gaman að sjá hver er að kíkja :)

News from here are good. The little ones are growing and getting fat. They have started strolling around the room, very proud of this newly discovered walking ability, with their tails straight up in the air. They have also begun climbing up on the bed and use that both for playing and sleeping. Then our little lady Myrrha has started to use the litter tray, a very clever little girl...Midas will surely catch up soon enough :) They are both wonderfully sweet and cuddly, seek out human contact and purr like tractors when they are scratched and petted.

There will be new photos of the siblings soon!

Loksins komnar nýjar myndir af litlu dýrunum. Þau eru orðin 3 vikna, búin að opna augun og orðin áhugasöm um að kanna heiminn fyrir utan gotkassan. Mamma þeirra er þó ekki sammála þeim og ýtir þeim niður í kassann aftur þegar þau gera tilraunir til að komast upp úr honum. Þau eru bæði búin að stækka mikið, Myrrha orðin 391gr. og Midas er alveg að ná henni en hann er orðinn 374gr. Sem sagt orðin ansi feit og pattaraleg :)

Finally new pictures of the little animals. They are now 3 weeks old, have opened their eyes and are getting very interested to explore the world outside their box. Their mother does however not agree and pushes them down into the box every time they try to get out. They have both grown alot, Myrrha now weighs 391gr. and Midas is catching up with her and is now 374gr. So very fat and healthy :)

Jæja, ég er búin að vera rosa dugleg í jólafríinu að fínpússa síðuna og þýða hana yfir á ensku. Ég hef ákveðið að þýða sem mest á ensku svo að ræktendur og áhugasamir erlendis geti líka fylgst með.

Myrrha og Midas stækka og þyngjast á hverjum degi, þau eru aðeins byrjuð að opna augun. Ég mun setja inn nýjar myndir fljótlega!

Well, I have been busy on my vacation doing final touches on the website and translating into english. I have decided to translate as much as possible into english so that breeders and others interested abroad can also keep up with what is going on.

Myrrha and Midas grow and gain weight every day, they are now starting to open their eyes. I will put in new pictures soon!

Það eru komin nöfn á kettlingana... Læðan heitir Goðheima Myrrha og fressinn Goðheima Midas. Þessi nöfn eru eins og öll nöfn sem við gefum kettlingunum okkar fengin úr grískri goðafræði. Systkinin eru dugleg að drekka og þyngjast vel. Það eru komnar myndir í "albúm" og aðrar upplýsingar í "kettlingar". Mun bæta við myndum og fréttum reglulega...endilega fylgist með :)

We have chosen names for the kittens... The female is Goðheima Myrrha and the male is Goðheima Midas. These names like all the names we choose for our kittens come from greek mythology. The siblings are feeding well and gaining weight. There are pictures is "album" and other information under "kittens". We will add pictures and news regularly...please check back :)

Í nótt (21.des) komu 2 litlir ruddy kettlingar í heiminn.  Við erum nokkuð viss um að þetta séu fress og læða og bæði Abyssinian variant. Suri virðist mjólka vel og passar MJÖG vel upp á börnin sín. Henni finnst greinilega fara betur um þau uppi í rúmi heldur en í gotkassanum því hún færir þá jafnóðum upp í rúm aftur séu þeir settir í kassann. Hún fær því að vera með þá í rúminu...allavega fram á kvöld. Nánari upplýsingar um þyng o.fl. og myndir koma við fyrsta tækifæri!

Last night (21st of dec.) 2 little ruddy kittens came to the world. We are pretty sure it is a male and femle and they are both Abyssinian var. Suri seems to produce alot of milk and watches her babies VERY well. She obviously thinks they will be more comfortable up on the bed than in the kittenbox because she moves them back to the bed as soona s they are put in the box. So she gets to keep them on the bed...at least until tonight. More information about weight ect. and pictures will come soon!

Ég ákvað að búa til almennilega heimasíðu fyrst ræktunin er farin að vinda upp á sig.

Það er kannski best að byrja á kynningu.

Ég heiti Steinunn Anna Eiríksdóttir og foreldrar mínir sem eiga kettina heita Þórður Björnsson og Hallfríður Jónasdóttir. Ég sem sagt á ekki kettina en tek þátt í að sýna þá, hjálpa til við got og fleira, þannig að mér finnst ég auðvitað eiga heilmikið í þeim. Þórður er samt skráður eigandi kattanna og þeir búa hjá honum og Hallfríði.

Ég mun breyta og bæta þessa síðu með tímanum, það vantar mikið af upplýsingum enn og að sjálfsögðu mun ég bæta við myndum af kisunum og fleiri myndum af systrunum Doris og Gaiu.

I decided to make a proper website as our cattery is getting larger.

It´s probably best to start with an introduction.

My name is Steinunn Anna Eiríksdóttir and my parents are Þórður Björnsson and Hallfríður Jónasdóttir. I am not the owner of the cats but do take part in showing them, help with litters and so on, so of course I feel like I own a big part of them. Þórður is teh registered owner of teh cats and they live with him and Hallfríður.

I will change and add to this webpage in time, there is still a lot of information missing and of course I will add more pictures of the cats.
